Talkers Advisory exists to help building owners make confident decisions in construction.
Most owners don’t build often, yet they’re expected to manage cost, schedule, contracts, and risk as if they do. When problems arise, it’s rarely due to lack of effort — it’s because no one is fully accountable for the owner’s perspective.
I’ve worked on every side of construction — as a contractor, an owner’s representative, and on the owner side within a highly mature corporate construction management program. Talkers Advisory was created to bring that experience directly to owners who want clarity, protection, and control without unnecessary complexity or overhead.
Professional Background
I bring practical, owner-focused experience shaped by working across the construction ecosystem.
My background includes:
Experience with a general contractor, managing work from bid through delivery
Serving as an owner’s representative / construction manager
Working on the owner side for one of the largest consumer goods companies in the world
I’ve been involved with industry organizations such as the Construction Users Roundtable (CURT) and the Lean Construction Institute, and I am a LEED Accredited Professional.
I’ve managed projects ranging from $5,000 to $235 million across corporate and commercial office, healthcare, higher education, laboratories, warehouses and fulfillment, and tenant improvements.
My experience includes capital planning, project and program management, scheduling, cost engineering, bidding and contract awards, change management, value engineering, and risk and lien management. I’ve also owned and managed real estate and built and exited a business — giving me firsthand understanding of construction as both an operational and financial risk.
How I Work
I work as an extension of the owner’s team, providing clear guidance and right-sized support.
Every engagement starts with understanding your goals, constraints, and risk tolerance. From there, I focus on identifying where cost, schedule, contract, or lien exposure exists — and addressing it early, when it’s easiest and least expensive to manage.
Support is tailored to the project and organization. Some clients need ongoing oversight. Others need targeted advisory at key decision points. In all cases, my role is to bring structure, transparency, and accountability without adding unnecessary process.
You can expect direct communication, practical recommendations, and a clear explanation of risks and tradeoffs — in plain language.

Lien risk is one of the most misunderstood — and avoidable — exposures owners face.
Lien issues often stem from contract structure, payment processes, and lack of visibility into downstream parties, not from obvious project failures.
Talkers Advisory helps owners identify lien exposure early, structure contracts and payment controls appropriately, review pay applications and releases, and spot warning signs before disputes arise. The goal is to protect your property and cash flow while maintaining productive working relationships.
